it just means people are hyping this movie up like they did the Hangover and people who haven't seen it yet are going to hate it.

This is quite a bit better and more ambitious than the Hangover was. From a production standpoint, it's a miracle they were allowed to make this film. The studio was very vocal on the movie not being the actors playing themselves, but then you might as well not even do it since that's where the heart of the humor derives from.

Then you got the fact that they got all these guys together. Honestly, it's about as close as we're going to get to "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World" at least for a while. Pretty much everyone they wanted to get, they got, as brief as it may have been. And they managed to do this pretty cheaply at $30 million, which including the effects makes it even more impressive. Compare this to an Adam Sandler film, which get like a budget of $80 million and no one on set clearly gives a shite. I think you have to respect that when you put such an all-star comedic cast together.

Agreed, though I could have done more Jason Segal and less Seth Rogen. It also doesn't help that I think Danny McBride is a no-talent arse clown, but you know, I knew that going in. He still had me laughing despite my rather low opinion of him. That, too, should say something for the movie.
