That's kinda my point though. Not saying Gordon is leaving this month. I'm saying, to me, it reads that his future is very much in doubt with this franchise.
Okafor's future was apparently in doubt a year in advance as well. You don't just all of a sudden decide a player is movable.

I think Demps resigned him because he viewed Gordon the future trade asset as better than 2012 cap space on a rebuilding team.

That's a possibility but rather a long reach at this point.
Nothing has shown that assumption to be possibly true.
