It's an outrageous example, but I'm just saying I don't think your logic follows.

If a single individual plays out of his mind (let's say Shaq-type Finals numbers) and his team loses, he should still be the MVP, because he's clearly the most valuable person on the court.

My logic does follow.

It's for the "Most Valuable Player".

My contention is that there is nothing more valuable than winning the Title.

The player that contributes the most to achieving that goal should win the award.

I think Wade wins MVP if they pull this out and he continues his good play, not Lebron like people are sayin on here. They won Game 4 because of Wade. Lebron scored 9 garbage points at the end of that game to outscore him. But Wade has been more effective than Lebron up to this point. Lebron has been scared or whatever to take control of these games like he did with Indiana. shite, there is no difference between Leonard and Paul George. If you can dominate George you can do that to Leonard also.

One player doesn't win a title.

Everyone knows LeBron is the best player in basketball at this moment. By default he's ALWAYS the most valuable player.

By your logic, there should never be a season LeBron doesn't win a title.
