Breg's error was costly but not so much on Ross'.
Ross's throw was too much toward the second base side of the bag. Our second baseman was NOT hustling to back up the throw. He relaxed and did not get into the position he needed to be in to backup that throw. It was a weak effort on his part and it cost us big time. No doubt he should have been in better position especially considering the throw was errant to the second base side.

quote:Strongly disagree. In Breg's situation, he should have squared the ball up and kept it in front of him, especially with a runner on 2nd and 2 outs in a 1-1 game. Simple baseball that you are taught when you are 4 years old.
