FWIW, I'm not in this club but I've already seen a handful of posters back up the decision.

Take the pitch, if you decide to take the bunt off, hit and run at 2-1. The pitcher was way wide on the first two pitches. Give him a chance to be rattled.

Totally agree I would have had him take the next pitch. Make him throw a strike he was squeezing it but oh well.
