+1, in my experience, mature bucks pretty much go nocturnal until the rut due to hunting pressure. You may see a nice buck opening weekend, but usually not again until the rut. That being said food plots are pretty good for does. You might try getting in the woods on a trail leading to the food plot, as the bucks tend to hang back till dark until the rut.
