year 3

quote:

Rob Gronkowski will undergo back surgery Tuesday in Los Angeles.
The recovery time is expected to be 12 weeks; six weeks of rest and six to rebuild strength and resume conditioning. 12 weeks -- or 84 days -- from Tuesday, June 18 would be September 10. The Patriots visit the Bills on September 8, so obviously Gronkowski is going to be in a race to play the opener. Most likely, he won't make it. Gronkowski will open training camp on the active/PUP list. It's not out of the question that he'll stay there for the first six games of the season, although that decision is not imminent. We'll get a better feel for Gronkowski's likely return date in weeks 9-11 of the 12-week recovery.

no flexploit this year

Coach Jeff Fisher hinted that the Rams envision second-year RB Daryl Richardson as a space player.
Richardson is a work in progress as an inside runner, but the Rams love getting his sub-4.5 speed on the edge. "We have to get the ball to him in the passing game more," said Fisher. "We were spreading it out, but we weren’t necessarily going to the backs as much as we would’ve liked. Any time we can get Daryl the ball in space, it’s going to put added pressure on the other team." Richardson projects as a 5-12 touch-per-game back in 2013.

thinking 20+....Isiah Pead is a drug addict with limited talent....Drich has heart and is my "sleeper" to be drafted in the 1-2nd round next year.

Packers rookie Eddie Lacy currently weighs 238 pounds, up seven pounds from his Combine weigh-in.
Lacy is reportedly looking good in pre-training camp practices, but the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel suspects the Packers want Lacy to play his rookie season at a lighter weight.

not a good indication that he has an NFL professionals mindset at this current time. Little weary about relying on him to break out.

The Bills’ decision to release quarterback Tarvaris Jackson suggests that they feel good about going into training camp with a two-man battle between Manuel and Kevin Kolb for the starting job. And if Manuel keeps getting better every day, he’ll likely be better than Kolb by the first day of the season.

could be a RG4

quote:

Manuel said at the end of the Bills’ offseason work that he believes he has improved consistently throughout the offseason.

“I thought I got better every day. That’s the biggest thing for me just continue to develop and get better each day and continue to work hard,” Manuel told the team’s website. “I feel very comfortable around the coaches, my teammates and the guys on offense as well as defense. I love the competitive nature about the team. It’s a great blueprint that I’m happy to be a part of.”

The National Football Post's Dan Pompei reports the Colts "will be trying to get" Darrius Heyward-Bey more opportunities than he ever had in Oakland.
Pompei adds that the Colts are looking to develop their vertical passing attack further this season, and part of their enthusiasm has to do with DHB's acquisition. The coaching staff sees Heyward-Bey as a "potentially explosive playmaker" who can get behind coverage.

he will go undrafted most likely, but he really hasn't had a coaching staff, teammates, or a QB like he has in Indy....keep an eye on him

ESPN New York reports RB Mike Goodson's future with the Jets remains "up in the air."
Goodson is facing five charges after his May weapons and drugs arrest. His case is headed to a grand jury, but that process could take a few months. On the practice field, Goodson's explosiveness has reportedly been impressive. If he makes the team, expect him to be the change-of-pace to Chris Ivory.

saints fans should like Ivory and someone will jump to get him. I just am not sure why people think his ceiling is so high that they are taking him in the 4th.

3 career catches, shitty offense, Bilaal, McKnight,goodson..splitting carries behind an Oline that yielded the 7th worst rush average?

me thinks let some other homer take him

The Cowboys reportedly believe fifth-round pick Joseph Randle can be a "full-time back" if DeMarco Murray suffers another injury.
Also injury prone in college, Murray has missed nine games through two NFL seasons.

The Denver Post considers 75 catches the ideal number for Wes Welker and Eric Decker.
Reporter Mike Klis believes the "new balance" in the Broncos' passing attack needs to be Welker and Decker each snagging around 75 balls while Demaryius Thomas gets 85. Peyton Manning has never been a part of an offense where at least three players caught 75 passes

I'd stay the frick away from Decker at least

I can still remember the expert advice telling someone to draft 3 straight quarterbacks from round 1-3.

1pt/15yds passing and 6pts per passing touchdown.

BPA

cdaniels's TD league had QBs getting 1pt every 10 yards passing like RB/WR

Brees/rodgers et al were hitting 60-80 pts/week

rb/wr were getting 10-15

I didn't trade the QBs I grabbed because it would only help the other teams.....so what I started vincent jackson who only got me 7 pts vs your Megatron at 18.....I started Manning for 75 vs your roethlisberger for 38

as you can see having Manning over Ryan is is like having another WR1(roddy white)

Pick 1, 24, 25. In that scoring system, the top quarterbacks will be flying off the board. No matter how you want to spin it, it was a 1 quarterback league and that advice was absolutely terrible. BPA means best player available, not best quarterback available with your first 3 picks. You don't draft players in hopes of trading them... there's no guarantee you get full value when everyone knows you're stuck like chuck.

Own it or pretend you didn't say and move on.

Terrible.

Congrats, you won a fantasy football league guy.

actually they didn't....most people went RB/RB as usual

1 for 15 is not much different

Drew averaged 48 points per week in a 10 yard per point scoring system last year. That's not including points taken away for INT's... which means, you can keep throwing retarded numbers around but it's still terrible.
