That's what you are hammering home. Auto updates and the one other thing you mentioned still means you have no clue if you think that makes it comparable to what the article is speaking of and to what Steam is about. Like I said you miss the big picture. No biggie.
I am far from mad about any of this, buddy, and that was not so much a personal attack as much as it was an observation.

Then enlighten me on what else Steam does that the PS3 doesn't already do. I don't use steam much at all so being serious.
The PS3 already has digital downloads, and day 1 digital downloads from every major developer/game.
It already allows you to play the game as it downloads.
It already checks via the cloud for any updates to the system and your game library (physical and digital) and automatically downloads those updates whether the console is on or off.
Obviously, sells games, dlc, etc.
What else does Steam do that is so amazing?
