SAN ANTONIO -- Looking to jump-start a sluggish offense, Miami Heat coach Erik Spolestra is considering changing his starting lineup for Game 4 of the NBA Finals and inserting the hot-shooting Mike Miller, sources said Thursday.

If Spoelstra decides to make the change, Miller would likely replace Udonis Haslem in the starting lineup to give the Heat more shooters in an attempt to spread the floor.

Gonna be raining 3s tonight

I don't think San Antonio's strategy of "five guys guarding LeBron" is going to change much by replacing Haslem with Miller.

Miller and Wade are injured and won't be at 100%, so they'll likely brick a lot of their shots.

What?

Miller is 9/10 from the 3 in this series. Haslem hasn't done anything this series while Miller has been great.

They're gonna get killed on the boards, but then again it's not like Haslem has provided much of that either.

Haslem is a good defender. Miller doesn't even play defense.

ETA: Miller's shooting has been great though

Is that really that big of a change? It seemed to me like he was playing a shite lof of minutes already

At least a Florida Gator will still be in the starting lineup, only thing that matters.

He's played a lot of minutes but not with that lineup. I'd assume Lebron would open up on Duncan and Bosh on Splitter. Not sure how that's gonna work though.

Miller hasn't been bad on defense. He's made a ton of hustle plays.

He's already playing more minutes than Haslem, so why not start him for an offensive boost.

I'm sure they won't miss Haslems 3 boards/game and 2.3 ppg in the starting line up

Miller is a good hustle guy, but he was responsible for a few of those wide open Gary Neal threes that busted the game open

LeBron would be playing center

This is why Shane Battier's jumper being broke really hurts the team.

The Spurs were getting open looks from 3 from the beginning of the game. It's not like Miller was the only one responsible for that defensive performance

This has been SA's obvious strategy. That is going to be tough on any great player against a an elite defensive team.

Wade and Bosh need to step up or the Heat will continue to struggle. As much disrespect the Spurs have given everyone outside of Lebron the other elite and strong role players of the Heat need to dominate.

The other Heat players need to step it up defensively also. The Heat expect Lebron to go around and take on the toughest defensive match up and then the other guys let the Spurs role players go off.
