I know things changing can be scary but is it crazy to think that without services like these and redistribution outlets and only digital distribution we could be looking at cheaper prices out of the gate? We could even see priced drop at a faster rate which would benefit everyone.

Also a lot of people only buy new games too so this may not be the worst thing ever. Not to mention you can sell your digital copy online if you wish. I just see such a good product in Steam and see this as the future. I know the Xbox is getting flack because of this but I still expect both consoles to be primarily digital in distribution before the end of this next gen. Games on disc will die.

The PS3 has offered games digitally for over a year

I bought last years NCAA Football and NHL digitally, and preordered the digital copy for The Last of Us just the other day.

Most games aren't worth $60 though, they'll never be $39.99 which would be perfect.
