Gamefly has nearly a million subscribers, I'd say roughly 65% of them are Xbox.

Ton of people rent games from Red Box.

$60 is a lot to pay for a game when a lot of games that come out really aren't worth $60 when you can rent it and beat in a day or 2.

I would have been pissed if I had spent $60 on Far Cry 3, $60 on Hitman Absolution, $60 on Tomb Raider, $60 on AC3.

I spent $15 and beat all 4 through Gamefly in a month, none were as good as advertised and none had any replay value.

I know things changing can be scary but is it crazy to think that without services like these and redistribution outlets and only digital distribution we could be looking at cheaper prices out of the gate? We could even see priced drop at a faster rate which would benefit everyone.

Also a lot of people only buy new games too so this may not be the worst thing ever. Not to mention you can sell your digital copy online if you wish. I just see such a good product in Steam and see this as the future. I know the Xbox is getting flack because of this but I still expect both consoles to be primarily digital in distribution before the end of this next gen. Games on disc will die.

Also I don't really play enough at a time to beat 4 games in a month.. Well, depending on how short the games are.
