See...that is the issue. I think Nola goes on Friday, no matter what. If you lose on Friday and then pitch Nola on Saturday...you run the risk of losing the championship series 2-0 and not pitching Nola at all.
Pitching him on Friday guarantees him a Game 2 start in the final series.

Mainieri threw ranaudo Friday and then saved him til game 3 of finals. Of course we did win game 1 or else ranaudo probably goes game 2.
