I know he is a great fielder but we don't lose much defensively with Foster replacing him in the starting lineup (Laird moving to center) however we gain a ton of offense. Here's the likely outcomes with stealing rhymes in that situation.
1.) Rhymes is thrown out, jacoby leads off next inning after having 2 strikes
2.) Rhymes is safe, jacoby has a chance for an RBI
Now the likely outcomes without rhymes stealing
1.) Jacoby is put out, Stevenson leads off next inning
2.) Jacoby moves Rhymes into scoring position, leaving an RBI opportunity for Stevenson
Not much risk to steal there
