I would have developed laird into a guy who could steal bases. How can someone that fast not be good at stealing bases?
With the way bregs swings early in the count a hit and run would have been nice but as it was already stated we won

What team do you coach?
Laird is a true freshman. He can't read pitchers.....yet. Half the time he's on first base his first move is back to first when the pitcher starts his motion.
He will learn.
