How close is Nola getting to being the most dominant pitcher LSU has ever had?

Nola is great, and he has a MLB future, but Gray has to pitch to the LSU lineup while Nola faced the OU weak hitting lineup.

That is a good point, but Nola just hasn't pitched badly even once this year against SEC competition. Shaky start against JSU but his defense let him down that 1st inning, and he still had no earned runs that game. Against Stanek He struck out eight, walked one, allowed six hits, and gave up only one run. I'm pretty sure CPM pulled him in the 7th to rest him for Regionals. He has just been so consistently unbeatable. I don't remember a pitcher as dominant as Nola, but I could easily be wrong as the rant often points out, Lol

I agree, and I didn't mean my response to be to your question. It's a valid question (How long before Nola is the most dominant LSU pitcher ever?)

I was basically responding to the OP. My bad.

Judging pitchers by wins and losses is retarded.

Gray only had his fastball and slider. Nice pitches but he needs to develop a third pitch (change up?) to move up to the next level.

Gray is a 4 pitch pitcher. I love reading some of these posts.

I'd take Nola over gray personally. Gray is more flashy but Nola just has it. And those saying Nola will have a MLB future are making me laugh. He is a first rounder.

Yeah. Not sure where you get your info, but gray has two plus pitches. His changeup and curve need improvement.

That being said I think gray is the higher Upside prospect.

Umm so you agree that he throws four pitches? Very good.

His change up is actually a good pitch. "Plus pitches" aren't the only ones that count in a repertoire.

He sure as hell was every bit as good as Gray tonight.
This was a great match up, glad it went our way!

Nola is not a better pitcher than Gray. Stop with the BS. Nola is a very good college pitcher who will get a shot in the pro ball, but he is not a top 3 prospect for major league ball.

You're such a good baseball lover to be able to take off the purple and gold glasses.

Nola had better control tonight.. He pitched better than Gray. And he has another year to pitch in college. Gray isn't that much better than Nola to be able to dismiss the topic so quickly.
