I like Saric too. That's a good piece by double M. I wouldn't mind him. I don't think he's the shoe in pick at this point, though

It was a pretty good piece.

Evaluate the player, not the country he is from. And by the way, when you really research the regions, you will see that the different regions produce vastly different players. The Croatian League and Adriatic League produces guys more like Pekovic, not Bargnani.

still need to know more about the league he is playing in

the biggest thing as with all overseas players is how he translates to the competition change, and as of now, doesnt look like he is playing against much competition.

So in order to "EVALUATE THE PLAYER!!!!" you must know who he is playing against .

A guy like Robbie Hummel would look like a great, toolsy player in that league. Doesn't mean he is ready for the NBA>

Goran Dragic is the only other guy I can think of for sure (Toni Kukoc as well, maybe?).

I do know that those leagues are generally considered pretty competitive, though. He did just turn 19 very recently and has now been playing against grown men for a few years.

You could say the same about CJ or any college player for that matter. It is not as though the college level is even near as competitive as it use to be.
