I dont believe this. I know MM cited last years rookie class' PER but that is pretty misleading. Guys like Harkless, Valunciunas, Barnes and Henson turned it on when they got minutes. And the others, while not having a great PER, still contributed in a positive way.
10-12 per class guys usually play 20+minutes and contribute as a rookie. No reason we couldn't get one at 6. If rookies were generally worthless everyone would be grabbing internationals
