Mauck is Dentist, Flynn keep is stuff clean and holds a Packers record and is competing for the Raiders' starting job. It's raiders...but it's a starting job. JJ was isn't the brightest and sharpest crayon in the box and is trying to make it in the CFL. Perilloux - is he alive? More power to Russell for getting his life together and I believe he can do well. Lee, well, Lee was inexperienced thrown into a fire and you can't hold that against the guy as much as you try. Mauck and Flynn lead us and won the NCG, Lee got us there, JJ well... You know that story.

I'd like to see Rivers push Mett this year. Mett is a relaxed individual -- mabe too relaxed -- and I'd like to see a challenge to rattle his cage and fire up his competitive juices.

You said smart PLAYERS

Jamarcus Russell had the best QB rating of all 3 and Mauck had some terrible turnover games.

You are pulling shite out of your arse. We need SlowFloPro to come in here with some stat bombshells comparing the 3.

plus Josh Booty was a strong leader both on and off the field, a great tactician and accurate passer while Davey just ran around like a chicken with his head cut off throwing up the ball for grabs all the time. Too bad Booty didn't get to finish that Peach Bowl or we might have beaten Ga Tech....

...oh wait...

Lineup turnovers, TDs, QB rating for Mauck, Flynn, and Russell.

Russell played the hardest schedule and had the best stats. Same record as Flynn too. We also won IN SPITE of Mauck a good bit.

Its hilarious how people rewrite history.

Yeah, Lee came out smoking against Bama at Bama. He definitely would have turned it around after those 2 picks.

Methinks skin color COULD be a factor. Might be going out on a limb here...

no doubt, but there is also a tendency to run it the other way when countering the idiots...I prefer to say I enjoyed all their play at LSU. If someone starts throwing stereotypical generalizations about Jennings, just call him an ignorant buffoon, no need to drag Matt Flynn's performance vs. Kentucky into the discussion.

Really, because look at the decisions made on and off the field. I have my doubts about Mett because what has happened off the field at times.

He we need smart QBs like Mauck and Flynn so thats why Rivers should play over AJ.

That is the most hilarious racial comment I've heard on here in a while.

Russell was technically a smarter and better QB than both in college and Mauck was not a smart player at all in several games. AJ's biggest attributes in HS and from LSU's camps have been his game intelligence and accuracy.

People are fricking dumb.

On field intelligence =/= off field intelligence

Period.

There are endless examples of both sides.

You must be a democrat bringing the race card. Therefore, I must think Mo Isom didn't belong on the football team because a women according to your logic. Perhaps I should clarify. AJ needs time in the system. Stephen has been around Cam. He is familiar. FYI I'm the biggest RG3 fan you'll find. No one is perfect stop thinking we'll have the "perfect QB"

Rivers looked VERY good in the 2nd half of the spring game. Overall, imho, this is as strong as we've been at QB since 2006

I guess he did, he was playing against the 10th string D. Jennings was playing against our 1st string most of the time.

I still think they go with rivers if mett goes down early. With the qbs we are recruiting though, miles and cam want some mobility. But i also like having a 6'8 qb with nfl pedigree.
