starring Joaquin Phoenix, Reese Witherspoon, and Sean Penn -
Paul Thomas Anderson’s upcoming “Inherent Vice” is moving along quickly, with the latest set photos showing star Joaquin Phoenix in his 1960s attire and the addition of Maya Rudolph to the cast. The Warner Bros. period detective story is based on the Thomas Pynchon novel and is shooting in various L.A. locations.
Set to play detective Doc Sportello, Phoenix was photographed with bushy sideburns, sporting a panama hat and sunglasses. The photos also caught a very pregnant Rudolph, Anderson’s longtime partner, who is looks to be playing nurse Petunia Leeway. The couple already have three children.
Reese Witherspoon, Owen Wilson, Josh Brolin, Benicio del Toro and possibly Sean Penn are also on board the project that is set for 2014 release.

I'm really looking forward to this movie. Joaquin's performance in The Master was incredible.

I will see anything that PT Anderson puts out

You would think a big time director could pull a better piece of arse than Mya Rudolph.

With a cast like that I'm intrigued but I have either hated or disliked everything PTA has done. The Master was an abomination.
