Anybody that suggested anything different would happen simply doesn't know baseball and how to approach a super regional.

Agree. You must win game 1. Then all the pressure in on the loser to win 2 in a row. Nola gives us the best chance to win game 1.

what advantage does Adderall give a pitcher/athlete? I honestly don't know.

It lowers perceived effort during physical activity. So some people take it when working out in order to have more effective, harder work outs. It can also decrease anxiety and increase focus, which obviously are important for a pitcher.

So it's not going to make you throw faster instantly upon taking it, but it could help you work out better in order to throw faster, and it can help with your mental game perhaps allowing you to hit your spots better.

That said, it's just as likely that the was abusing adderall for academic purposes and not athletic ones.
