I just finished season 5 this past weekend so I wasn't around for the original season 5 episode threads.
What's the theories on why Walt's in the state he's in during that flash forward at the beginning of season 5 ep. 1?
Can the op add spoilers to the title or maybe someone can link me the old threads?

well he had a different name on his license, so he either called Saul's disappearance guy at that point, or he's in some kind of witness protection program (maybe hank put him in since all of his shite was paid for with meth money?). Hard to say

So he buys the .50 cal for what? He must want someone in particular dead right? Maybe Jessie? Maybe Jessie finds out what Walter did, gets in with Declan and puts a hit on Walter?
That's probably a terrible theory but I really don't have a clue where they're going with it. Walt buying the gun is what's really throwing me off.
