The positive test will not result in a suspension, but will make Gray subject to additional follow-up testing once he begins his pro career, according to a source with Major League Baseball. Adderall comprises salts of two amphetamines and is banned by MLB unless the player has a valid therapeutic use exemption. Multiple sources indicated that Gray did not have a prescription for the drug.

You can't suspend a college player for freaking adderall. How else are they supposed to get all that studying in?

It's a pretty big deal for a pitcher to take a drug that enhances your focus.

It's also bullshite that people who weren't smiled upon by evolution are on the same playing field as people who don't take the drug. I hate people that aren't really ADD or ADHD that take it. Which is most of them.
