Yea I can't believe that don't come to mind first. I think it's the dog commercials that controls everyone's perception of that song

The song is about the fatal heroin overdose of Jonathan Melvoin, the Smashing Pumpkins keyboard player, and the brother of one-time Prince guitarist Wendy (also of Wendy & Lisa).
