It's official: Matt Smith is leaving Doctor Who

I'm a little surprised. They just announced a couple of weeks ago he would be in the next season.

Yeah, I liked him. I thought he'd do at least one more year, then again, outside the of the last episode, this year was very lackluster.

yeah I like him too. I also agree this season was quite boring. i don't blame him, i blame the writers.

Agreed on all counts. Hopefully him leaving will shake things up a bit on the show anyway.
