1- Vertigo... dimwitted Jimmy Stewart falls for bleached blonde with huge highbrows and zero personality.

2- Titanic... Jack meets a woman twice his age and within a day or two she is willing to get off the lifeboat to die with him. Right.

3- Les Miserables... at least the producer in this case has an excuse: it's Victor Hugo's fault. Marius sees Cosette across the street and they're madly in love even though they haven't so much as even touched each other. And Cosette's safekeeper risks life and limb at the barricades and swims through a sewer, too, to save this object of affection.

So you are saying that the charcter "Jack Dawson", played by Leonardo DiCaprio, was under 9 years old?

"Rose Dewitt Bukater", as portrayed by Kate Winslet, was 17 years old.

Fair point. She only LOOKED twice his age.

So we're left with:

2- Titanic... Jack meets a complete stranger and within a day or two she is willing to get off the lifeboat to die with him. Right.

Twilight. 110 year old cruising a high school for chicks has to be the creepiest premise for a movie ever.

Pretty Woman...

A multi-millionaire-maybe-billionaire is going to marry a street Hooker.

Sure.

Did Charlie Sheen turn down this role?

Summary of dialog -

Anakin: You're shmoopy.
Padme: No, you're shmoopy.
Anakin: No, you're shmoopy.
Padme: No, you're shmoopy.

And of course, Twilight. It doesn't get much more shallow or self indulgent than that. And seeing as how what they are indulging is tween girl angst and utter superficiality, it wins.

The character was 17 but she was 20 when it filmed.

Jesus dude your threads are even worse here than your threads on the political board are, which I didn't think was even possible.
