I know no one gives a crap but I saw all these movies last weekend and want to share my opinion.

Epic- Very good animated movie. We all went to the "Red Carpet" premier Friday night at The Boardwalk and Bill Joyce gave a little talk about the movie. It's based off of a book of his from the 90's. It is a good movie, lots of cool animated scenes. Kind of an Alice in Wonderland meets The Spiderwick Chronicles. The name is kind of dumb though. They should have just called it "The Leafmen of the Forest".

Afterwards we went to Artspace and saw a lot of the conceptual art hanging. It was pretty neat stuff.

I'm not predicting it to win, but I think it is a sure nominee for Best Animated Movie.

The Campaign- I have gotten to where I can't stand Will Ferrel but this movie was fricking hilarious. And even though it was a clear shot at the Tea Party, I still loved it.

"arse & titties, arse & titties"

Star Trek- Okay so I tried to bring up the old thread and no one bit. I'll just say that I really liked the movie. Aside from that, I am a little disappointed with Bones' character. I dont' remeber him being such a one dimensional character from TOS or TOS movies. They have kind of turned him into a joke.

I was never much of a fan of the TOS (I am pretty young), but I watched TWOK recently and Bones is pretty one dimensional in that movie at least. The actor playing him almost impersonated the original too well.

It looks like an absolute rip-off of this of all things:
