How many games do you need ? How long has he been manager ? IMO, that doesn't hold up anymore.

Plus, at this point in the WC Cycle you need continuity. As a Spain fan, you know this. Your midfield has played so much together, it's unfair.

The best player on our team would probably be the 8th or 9th best on Belgium, wtf is Klinsmann supposed to do about that?

It's not the loss, it's the consistently uninspired play.

I really think he does. I think he´s inherited a group, and outliers, which isn´t remotely similar to what he thought it was.

He´s performing blatant permutations, to see how people react (very Teutonic).

He´s unaware of what appears to be the fragile psyche of many, and the lack of ´rally around´, which is due to a fragile psyche and an important sensation of being ´adrift´.

The ´adrift´is his part, but the psyche, is his assuming the typical German mentality in the USA, is just not is so applicable to a sport which everyone plays around the world, and is unfortunately, elite, in this country.

Fair enough, though I don't know how much is being uninspired and how much is just being not very good. Our team is bad.

I think we would be able to tell if the team was playing smart, inspired football and were simply outclassed by their opponents.

They have looked both bad and dysfunctional for quite some time now and I have no reason to believe it's going to get better in the next month.

We can also go ahead and mark the 2nd game against Mexico down as an L regardless of who is running the team so really we are already in 4th place and ahead of Hondouras only on GD with 6 to play.

It's panic time guys.

Why? We're undefeated in our last three matches against them, under Klinsmann...

Uh, no, we're not...

Good God, man, pull yourself together.

I did edit because i double checked and it's in Columbus but I still don't have much faith of a result there.

No, the ´pluck´of the USA in serious competition is not to be questioned, when going against a hated foe.

The problem is, Klinsmann may have felt this ´pluck´is demonstrated everytime a player puts on the strip of the national side.

It seemed that way, in the vaunted Confed Cup win over Spain, did it not?

To be fair, Spain has a lot of ´plug and play´in this área. Striker and D, are concerns.

Whomever´s in midfield is going to perform admirably, no matter who their compatriots may be.

i just with our best 11 could play together a few times in a row to gain some trust/playing patterns

or hell...figure out who our best 11 is (especially the 4 in the back)

The USA doesn't have the talent to plug and play. It's a moot point. We NEED continuity. The midfield of Spain has unbelievable talent but you can't say that the continuity of your core guys hasn't played a big part in Spain's success.

Jones may commit a lot of dumb fouls. But, IMO, he is one of the best passers on the team. Bradley and Jones are both great. But, they haven't been paired well because of Edu, Beckerman, etc.

There is no form to this team. :(

the problem with this is that it's what we have been doing but it's like we still dont know who they are. are we gonna be "figuring it out" until brazil? if so, there is no time for them to play together as the top 11, which would be disastrous.

it's getting pretty fricking close to the point where our best 11 need to pretty much play every game from here on out. every game that passes is another opportunity that it isnt happening. injuries are one thing, but that's really not a legitimate excuse for plenty of the guys playing/not playing.

Also, I think Martin Vazquez is a big problem. Dude, is not a good tactician.

I think it´s clear from what Jurgy is doing, that this is what he is looking for.
