Paging captain st.....tides and offshore fishing

Do tides have the same effect offshore as they do inside.....in regards to picking a good day to fish?

Negative. You don't want much of a tide fishing offshore.

Not nearly as much as inshore, but typically the good diving weekends correspond with the crappy tide weekends. Case in point hell divers chose a weekend advantageous to their divers for rodeo. Motorboat did not afford his minions in his CCA chapter the same advantage for our tourney.

Thanks I'm in the process of finalizing a booking for a charter tuna trip and wanted to make sure I wasn't overlooking something.
