Can you fire a realtor after signing contract?

I have my house under contract with a real estate comapany.. I'm not that impressed with the guy that I hired to sell my house for me.
First off, Ive told him 10 times that we cant show the house the day of... need at least 24 hr notice.
DUde continually txts me or the wife and asks can so and so agent show your house at 2 or 3 or 1030 today.
Weve had it on market for a about 2.5 weeks and shown it 6-7 times, havent gotten an offer yet.
Dude is semi-skethchy, doesnt communicate very well unless he has an appointment to show the house.
I told my wife last night I dont really even want to talk to the dude anymore unless he calls me with an offer.
Feedback was important to him at first, now I dont give a shite,,, only feedback Im intersted in is a contract and an acceptable offer.
Another thing that pisses me off is the cancelations.. We try not to be there when house is being shown.. 3 outa first 4 appts we had lined up cancelled... all did so within an hour of the appt.
I told the realtor from now on, house will be shown from 8am-5pm mon-fri and pretty much anytime on weekend.
I have 2 small kids so it sucks to have go somewhere at 630 and people not show up.. happened 3 times.
I understand not all this is my realtors fault but Im starting to get impatient and sorta wish I'd left in on FSBO.

You're being more than impatient. Two and a half weeks and a handful of showings isn't a lot of time. Unless you live in a real estate market that is moving quickly I'd show a little more patience.
On the other issues just have a meeting with the guy and express your concerns. Find out what his marketing plan is for your house (you should already know this) and find out from him what a reasonable time frame for results should be in your market.

I think you are just going through the crap of selling a house, it sucks
I would rather them text and ask if they can show a house at such and such time, even if it is not in you "hours" the more people go through your house the better the chance of it selling
as for people not showing up, it really sucks, but your realtor has NO control over that
as for communication, call him and tell him your concerns
2 1/2 week in and you are this agitated, man you got a long way to go, take it easy

Its just me being impatient.
Wife keeps saying that.
I can start building my new one If I want, we just chose to wait til we sell.
Guy said 2-4 months realistically, this however is suppose to be best time of the year to sell.
Price is good, Im not trying to skin anybody, just need to have right people come along.

I fired mine after 5 days. Long story, but, in the original contract, it stated either party can cancel at any time.
Don't do business with friends of the family.

yeah, people usually go house shopping after work bro. You are the one trying to sell a house, things you got to deal with.

I'd loosen up on your demands for a notice to show the house. The last time we sold a house, there was a guy looking at another house in the neighborhood and saw our sign. Realtor called, my wife packed up the dogs and kids and drove around for 45 minutes. Got a cash offer the next day. If we had a 24 hour rule, it might not have happened, as they were from out of town and in for just the weekend. The guy is just trying to do his job.

Patience is key. Just look at the patience JJ showed while waiting to get back into the starting lineup in 2011.

LOLWUT
Its only been 2.5 weeks. If I recall, the average home is on the market for right at about a month before it actually "Sells"

I would love to see some recent statistics regarding that (especially for BR area). Because 1 month seems pretty quick these days. I would think most people would be ecstatic to have it done in 1 month.
Edit: Just thought about it and I guess that means 1 month until an offer is accepted. Much longer for loan to go thru. Makes sense.

Why? It will take months to complete, start now! Or that's just more money your gonna have to burn on rent somewhere while waiting on your new home.

Did fsbo for 4-5 weeks so it seems longer.
I think I'm more aggravated at the process than I am the fact I haven't had an offer.
First house I sold was completed before I even moved out.
Never listed it in anything.

I don't want the stress of having 2 mortgages.
Having to rent bc my house is sold and waiting on other to be built is a good problem to have.
Way I look at it anyways.

And, a little off topic, that site Zillow rocks for home sales/lease.
I put one of mine on there (lease) just to see what response I would get. Had a 3 year lease in place a week later. Not sure how the sales part goes, but I sure was happy with the traffic and calls.
And, putting my add on there was free. Again, no clue how the home sales part works there, but I saw a tab and know its available.
