Gausman: 5 IP, 7 H, 4 ER, 5 K, 2 BB, 89 Pitches

He had a strong start but got a little roughed up in the end

Kid was throwing some fricking gas. 99 mph in the 5th inning...are you kidding me?!

@Buster_ESPN: Kevin Gausman looks like he's been pitching in the big leagues for two years, rather than two innings. Completely at ease.

I think he showed real promise early on. I think they will bring him along and help him get better. Wish his momma hadn't pushed so hard and he could still be pitching here.

I forgot how good his change was until last night. I think he will be a serious player in the majors with that rotation of fastball, change up, an slider. Sick movement and speed.

I was listening to the radio broadcast on the mlb app while I was driving and the commentators were jizzing all over themselves over Gausman.

He was killing it until the 4th when he started getting roughed up. Rgardless I am very proud of him and will definitely tune in whenever he pitches.

The good news about that is he will adjust. They started getting hits off of him because they were adjusting to his stuff. Experience will allow him to have better location, and readjust to hitters adjustments

I don't know what's more freakish, throwing 99 MPH or being the hitter that could crush that pitch if it is flat and over the plate. Crazy reflexes.

They were reading out 2 different guns on the broadcast. One had 98 and the other had 99. Regardless he was bringing it. Consistent 97-98.

Hard to believe only one year ago, I was watching him warm up in the bullpen before a regional game at Alex Box.
