They will only get a deal done if CSN reduces their price by a good bit.

The satellite and cable companies have said that the channel isn't even close to worth it at its current price. Not enough hardcore viewership in the market.

So the satellite and cable companies feel they aren't losing out on anything at all... and they are right. They have all the leverage.

CSN needs to come down in price if anything is going to get done.

And it COULD take years. Portland has had the same issue for 7 years now. For 7 years they haven't been able to watch their team. Hopefully CSN Houston gets something done before it gets beyond ridiculous like that.

Cable companies want to run CSN Houston as a PPV or extra package channel. Thats really unfair because every other RSN is on basic package. CSNH won't back down and cable companies are content screwing over Houston viewers from seeing their local teams. Damn shame, corporations are bringing this country down.
