Any word on negotiations between DIRECTV and Comcast to offer the Houston affiliate?

Still at a standstill. The crucial part will be getting SuddenLink to agree then there will be too much pressure on DirecTV and Dish to not have CSNH

They will only get a deal done if CSN reduces their price by a good bit.

The satellite and cable companies have said that the channel isn't even close to worth it at its current price. Not enough hardcore viewership in the market.

So the satellite and cable companies feel they aren't losing out on anything at all... and they are right. They have all the leverage.

CSN needs to come down in price if anything is going to get done.

And it COULD take years. Portland has had the same issue for 7 years now. For 7 years they haven't been able to watch their team. Hopefully CSN Houston gets something done before it gets beyond ridiculous like that.

Just moved back to Houston and this deal is complete BS. At this point I'm just hoping a deal can get done by November to watch the rockets
