What a joke...calling a timeout in the NBA allows you to advance the ball 65 ft.

What a load of crap. Why does the mere act of calling a time out allow you to gain such a huge advantage? And NBA teams NEVER run out of time outs. I have never liked that rule. Make them go the full 94 feet. NO other form of organized basketball, let alone sports, gives a team so much territory for calling a time out.

I like that it adds drama, but in pure fundamental terms it's without a doubt the dumbest rule of all-time.

I am not mad. I couldn't give a flying frick who wins. I just think this is one of the worst rules in all of sports...that calling a TO gives you such an advantage. I don't get it.

It's done in college as well. Quit crying.

Exactly...manufactured drama. Make them run a play where they can score by going 94 feet.

People downplaying it are funny. It is hands down the weirdest rule of any pro sport, by far.

And how fitting that you pick a time like this to start this discussion

it gave lebron the chance to showcase his clutch skills

It's a rule created solely for exciting finishes. Team A took a 1 point lead with .00001 seconds left? It's NOT over yet!

Well yeah...it is totally fitting...it shows what a huge advantage it is to move the ball so far forward. These frickers all make millions of dollars...let them figure out how to score from 94 feet away with 2.2 seconds left, instead of from 25 feet.
I have always disliked that rule...it bastardizes the game. Tonight just proves how cheap it is.
