No clue, I don't watch or care about baseball. It's just that I always hear about pinstripes in reference to the Yankees.

Mets have pinstripes as well and New York City has 8.3 million residents theyll be fine even if it alienated some mets fans.

Meanwhile New Jersey tax money built red Bull arena. It can be a cross river rivalry. Still no idea where the city team will play.

If New Orleans ever got a team they should be called Inter NOLA or something like that.

Like this move for the MLS, the league seems to have a lot of momentum.

I can't imagine the MLS wanting to go to a city that doesn't support any of the major sports teams it has

Same thing can be said for Atlanta, though.

you could not be more wrong. With ATL it's a simple matter of success. If the teams are successful the fans will flock in.

Braves are huge in the south and they have a hard time, at times.

1. Because it's baseball and they play a ridiculous amount of games.

2. Because it's corrupt and people are becoming less and less interested in it. The interest in soccer is obviously growing as we all know.

They've lost their hockey team.

Because no one in ATL gives a frick about hockey unless they are from the North and already have a team. The problem wasn't people didn't like hockey, the problem was everyone was going to support the other team.

I wish Bham would get a team....NASL or otherwise....any chance of that? Barons are leading the southern league in attendance....

Maybe...Birmingham usually has good crowds when soccer is in town. Might have to settle for USL.
