I'm assuming this once a day check is somehow tied in with the verification of the one disc per live account and the subsequent possibility of limiting the rental of games via Gamefly.
If this is the case, that would really affect how I play games, since my main source of games is by rental. That's what I don't like about it.
Obviously we don't know the details, so its speculation. But if this is the case...
