Is LSU planning to play the afternoon or night Regional game on the Friday?

I'm on a needs to know basis.
Last year was the first year in forever LSU played at night on Friday. Is that the plan from now on? Personally I like getting Fridays scrub game over with early and getting more rest than the 2/3 seeds.

It's always been during the day. Not just 09. Last year was the first year LSU switched to night.

well since I don't know the real reason and you just answered your own question, that works for me

It's up to Mainieri and the athletic dept. Its really the only decision that LSU gets to make about the weekend. Skip liked to do the afternoon game to get more rest plus he didn't like Friday night games anyway because of the Jewish holiday (as evidenced by the time he had a rabbi declare sundown at noon on a Saturday once so that he could coach during a regional.)

bertmen liked the day game on friday - if you lost you had time to regroup , as you have to come back saturday morning - cpm changed it back to friday nite as most teams seeded # 1 do

Also nice that we get a night to go out after the game, because we usually have to play saturday night and sunday night

Most #1 seeds play at night because they can't sell tickets for a game during the day on Friday. LSU can sell out the Box for a Friday afternoon so they'd use that to their advantage and play early to get more rest.
Hopefully LSU goes back to that. Plus I got some Friday night business to take care of.

I hope he picks the afternoon game because I have a graduation I have to attend that evening. I don't want to ruin my perfect attendance.
