Better chance of Houston going to the Finals - without Howard or if they signed him as a free agent?

Why do you think sending Dwight to Houston would play out any differently than it did in Orlando?

Because Morey is not an incompetent GM like every Orlando gm it seems. Do you remember the McGrady trade? What about the LAST Howard trade to LA? The Orlando's GM's have been notoriously awful always. They make terrible personnel moves and they haven't capitalized on guys like Dwight Howard, Tracy McGrady or Shaq. Houston has made it happen for guys.

Houston is worlds better than Orlando.

You don't think Houston would be happy going to the finals?

If Howard wasn't in Orlando, you think Hedo Turkoglu and Rashard Lewis lead those teams deep in the playoffs? Get real.

Howard was 22 years old posting 19/16/3 in the playoffs the year ORL went to the Finals.

With McHale being a players coach, maybe it will help with Howard. Houston is the best situation for him. Can he go back to being the good player Dwight Howard? Or has bitch Howard taken over for good?

He would sell tickets? What about lead the league in rebounding, finishing second in FG%, and be a top 5 shot blocker?

I'm a Mavs fan.....Howard can go to Houston, stay in LA or go anywhere other than Dallas.

WTF?

Dirk + Dwight = WCF at a minimum. Only worry would be health.

I get what shel and TTF are saying, and ultimately for Houston I think Howard is worth any risk they might take in acquiring him, but I'm not convinced Dwight Howard will ever be the force he once was.

I agree with what you said. He would bring attention to the Rockets and make them relevant which is probably enough to make bringing him in worth it. As a fan, I wouldn't want him on my team though.

What would Houston have to do for space to sign him?

FA: buy out a contact via team option and have to trade a low level guy

But if D12 comes to houston, it will be by a sign and trade. Dwight will demand the extra money, LAL will get some younger assets- looking at you, Thomas Robinson- rockets move some salary to make space, and you know nothing makes Daryl morey happier than a trade.

Write it down, if Dwight comes to houston, it will be via sign and trade

you think so? The guy they were willing to deal half their team for without him signing an extension? NOW they're too scared to sign him? Seems legit....
