Does the local channels usually broadcast LSU games or do you have to watch them elsewhere? If so where do you watch them?

The reason I ask is because I know in the NFL the games broadcasted depends on your location and I dont know if college is the same.. Im in North Texas btw..

All but a couple of games per year are nationally televised. The others you can watch online on ESPN3 or maybe firstrow, or at a local LSU bar if you're in DFW.

I was born and raised in Louisiana but I have lived in Houston for 35 years. There are very few LSU football games that we don't get here. Most LSU football games are nationally televised anyway. Every year there are 2 or 3 games that you don't get in Houston. It is usually the rent-a wins.

Either ESPN, CBS Sports Network, sometimes a Fox Sports channel and Geaux Zone for baseball.

Football is normally nationally broadcasted on CBS or ESPN, the games that you have to pay for through Tiger Vision in LA are on for free on ESPN3.

I'm in NE Texas BTW.

Check out this thread:

Looks like Sherlocks (Park Lane and 75) or Fox & Hound (Midway Rd) are the places to be in Dallas and Humperdink's near the Six Flags is the place to be in Arlington.

live in DFW metroplex, get just about all football, mainly because we're just about always a "featured"/national game, we even get a few of the rent a win games, they have shown 2/3 baseball games the last three series, but those were the only ones this year, to my knowledge , 2-3 basketball games, sure that will get better if we do, but overall, decent LSU coverage, oddly enough, lot of LSU softball shown, what's up wit dat?
ETA: new SEC channel coming up, should get even better

I watch in Ausin and have cable with ESPN. Football is not a problem. As long as we are nationally ranked and play a tough schedule almost all the major games are on CBS or ESPN. Otherwise it is streaming internet through ESPN3 or Geaux Zone.

Basketball is a problem with only three or four televised games and the rest through the internet or sometimes only radio. Baseball I don't follow but expect it would be like basketball.

After next year when the SEC network comes on board I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Watch the games at Big Woodrows in Houston. It's the official alumni association bar. Feels like you're back in BR

If you dont live in a metro area though you will miss a few games. My local cable provider could not get the needed ESPN channel for me to buy. It was not available in my town. (Athens Texas) so I drove to BR and watched it from Section 411

ETA as far as I know LSU is the only out of state college that is printed on TX plates though.

The only regional games are the SEC Network games, formerly Jefferson Pilot, 11:30am games. I think SEC Network has an affiliate in Houston and Dallas. They don't have an affiliate in Corpus Christi, but I have the ESPN Gameplan so I can watch the SEC Network (Jefferson Pilot) games on ESPN Gameplan.
