I'm going with Iverson every day of the fricking week. That dude was the man and pound for pound the best basketball player the NBA has ever seen.

Wade, but I enjoy watching way AI more. Wade is the third best shooting guard of all time.

D Wade and it's not even close.

This is tough.

I can't decide. I think I'd go with Wade (in prime) first if I was building a team because he is a good/great defender and has better size. He is also maybe the best shot blocking pure guard of all time.

AI during a couple years though scored non-stop.

What is the comparison of FG% in primes? That might help me decide...

I wonder what you're opinion would be if we gave AI several years of his prime with a player like Shaq and Lebron.

Granted Wade had Shaq and played a weaker finals foe, but Wade in the finals can't be overlooked. He was absolutely incredible. AI got frustrated and fizzled after beating the Lakers (granted best team ever candidate) in Game 1.

AI consistently had a worse FG% throughout career... different styles of offense to say the least.

I think DWade benefited from playing with Shaq, but his individual numbers have been hampered by sharing the ball with/deferring to Lebron.

As for the OP, I think I would take DWade.

See, I don't think AI would do as well with those guys. He was a ball hog in the purest sense.

Asking peak and career are two different things. When people ask, who was better? I like to look at career, not peak. My default assumption is career unless you ask which had a better peak. Either way, Wade is better.

Wade because of size, defense, multiple position threat, better FG%, and a much better "team" player.

At least when healthy Dwayne Wade practices. But game goes to Iverson.

Ill take Isiah over both.

CSB:

I sat courtside the year the Hornets played AI and the Sixers in the playoffs and AI fell on me going for a loose ball. I was a young buck (preteen maybe?) and got covered in AI sweat. Thought it was the coolest thing ever at the time, but now it just seems nasty
