Can you not see the difference in applauding an opposing pitcher coming out of the game in the late innings from giving a victory lap to an opposing team that just beat you to steal your team's dream?

It happened for 2 reasons IMO. Fans remember all the UNC Wilmington lap we gave their team after we beat them. If that wouldn't have happened, the Stony Brook incident wouldn't have happened. Fans thought back to that, and remember all the positive press they got and decided to do it again. Of course most couldn't see the difference in the 2 situations, so they embarassed us.

I hope the tigers have a picture in the locker room of the fans giving Stony Brook the victory lap this year in postseason as motivation.
