Obviously the movie with Harvey Keitel is condensed, but I think its held up over the years. Pretty good movie.
Reading the Novel lately and its fantastic. I could see where David Simon got some ideas from Clockers and put in The Wire.
Great stuff.

Clockers (1995) made me hate Delroy Lindo for a while. That movie has some odd symbolism with Keitel's character chasing after the big bust of Lindo's character in a movie where he ends up investigating a murder at a fast food place called Ahab's.
I think Fresh (1994) is a way better "drug dealing" movie from around the same time. Better story and N'Bushe Wright running around in lingerie.

I think Fresh is the more "personal" story.
But Clockers is far more complex.
