With the Knicks staving off elimination, how much more rest time did they buy Dwayne Wade? Does rest really matter for his type of injury?

I could be wrong but I thought I heard somewhere no matter what happened the Heat were playing Monday anyway. Now if the Knicks force a 7 game series. The Heat play Wednesday.

No sure time will heal Wade. Just something he has to play through.

If anything this hurts the heat bc if the pacers had one tonight there's a solid chance hill would've missed game 1. The heat only gain extra rest if the Knicks force a game 7, and I don't think an extra two days rest does d wade that much good. He needs a few months rest to heal completely

The ECF will start on Wednesday regardless of what happens in Game 6. They would have started on Monday if the Pacers had won tonight. So the Heat will end up with 6 days off. Wade had 11 days off between the first and second round, and it didn't seem to help. My understanding is the bruise is significant enough that it won't heal by the end of the playoffs, and that he's just going to be playing through it. So I don't think the extra 2 days will have much effect on Wade.

If anything the Heat will win the ECF and eventually take the title. Knicks give the Heat more time to rest and that only makes the Pacers have a harder chance at actually winning one game next series.
