Literally bobs like a fish in so much pain.

Canadians team captain Eric Staal (Carolina Hurricanes) and Sweden's Alexander Edler (Vancouver Canucks).

Early reports are that Staal has a full ACL tear.

Ow. That's a career ending type of cheap shot.

Am I looking at it wrong? It doesn't look bad at all(I realize it's bad).

frick that, he needs to get a broken leg somewhere out tonight plus some kind of law suit for costing Staal a contract or something.

It's extremely bad.

Knew his leg was out there and didn't try to get out of the way, almost as if he tried to make direct contact with the knee. No effort whatsoever to get out of the way, or make a hit on the body, targeted the knee and took out one of the best players in hockey for who knows how long.

When a pro hockey player is laying down crying, you know it's bad.

The Staal Bros. are from a Northern Ontario mining community called Thunder Bay, people in that town are some of the toughest frickers in the world, they are kinda like the Wildlings on GOT...This hit looks intentional and I am waiting to see what kind of discipline they IIHF will hand out...because it's on a Swede I am not expecting anything

I haven't watched enough hockey to understand the intracacies of these type of hits.

What responsibilty does Staal have to be aware of what's coming his way?

I ask, because I remember Rafi Torres delivering what I thought was a cheap shot on Kevin Bieksa (I think?) behind the goal in the playoffs a year or two back, and the consensus was that Bieksa should have had his head up, and paying attention to what was coming his way.

knee on knee is almost always avoidable by the agressor...you are referring to coming across the middle i think...
