We have got to sign someone who can play this season. Someone that can contribute right away. Hammink just isn't gonna cut it as your second guard off the bench

Agree 100%. The majority of our guards can't be below 6'. I do hope we can find a good graduate transfer or a 2013 sleeper type that can give 10-15 minutes/game.

By now all of the graduate transfers from major programs have already signed elsewhere. Hopefully there is another Carmouche out there, or as O said another Hickey waiting in the wings.

I don't think anyone was actually saying it was my fault he is transfering.
Some rumor is that he wants to be closer to girlfriend who is at Xavier and is considering transfering to Tulane.
He hasn't been granted release yet, so we don't know if Jones can talk him out of leaving. This is purely speculation at this point so he isn't off the team yet.

From what I've read and heard it LSU hasn't fully recieved his release papers yet. Still looks likely.
I think at the end of the day this is a person issue. He is the perfect player for Coach Jones' system and looked to gain more playing time next season.
It sucks that LSU loses him but at the end of the day it's Malik's decision.
