Posted this on the recruiting board it's also appropriate here.
Was just reading a post in another thread and seeing something similar like why WRs would ever want to come to LSU and it got me thinking, We are the best in the SEC in putting WRs in the NFL.
This dated article(players only up to 2010) also proves my point.

The year after next we got another in the top 3 (Reuben Randle). Only other teams that did equal or better was UT and USCe.
As a matter of fact LSU would have 2 of the top 10 WRs in the SEC right now if there was an official ranking.
People might say that we won't be doing it know because of Miles but JJ and Lee gave Lafell almost 1700yds and 19TDs in 2 yrs and both combined to give Randle 900+yds and 8TDs his junior year, both went into top 3 rounds and are starters.
With Cam and better polished QBs, those numbers will only go up. Prepare for the next 5 years as a mirror image of the last 4 on offense.

Over the last decade, LSU has established itself as the premier school in the SEC and one of the best in the nation for putting wide receivers into the NFL. Since the 2001 draft, 10 LSU receivers have been selected in the NFL Draft, the highest number for any SEC school over that time period. In addition, seven of those players were selected in the top three rounds of the draft. That number also represents the highest in the league.

4 1st round defensive lineman in the past 6 years(3 in the top 10)
3 1st round defensive backs in the past 5 years(2 in the top 10 picks)
We could definitely be considered both of those.

TheBob: Oregon under Chip Kelly was known as this high flying offensive power house. Please enlighten me of ANY offensive players from Oregon under the Chip Kelly era who has thrived or is thriving in the NFL. I can not think of any!!! I can put a good list together of LSU offensive players.

I've shown you that we get the recruits. Now we have a legit OC and QB coach and QBs, that weren't scarred early in the fires of LSU, to get these playmakers the ball, and have em eyeing first round spotlight.

quote:True, but they have been to four straight BCS bowls. That's a huge accomplishment imo.
