Just bloody Brilliant. Seriously, I'd rank it right up there with Wrath of Khan, and frankly, the story telling was better.

I saw it at 8 last night in IMAX as well. fricking beautiful film. I'm still trying to come to grips with what I feel about certain parts, but other than that, I'm going back friday, ha.

Better than the 2009 reboot?

It probably is, if only because the characters are a little more fleshed out and the crew has more of a relationship together. as would be expected.

How was Benedict Cumberbatch?
Did they show the Hobbit preview?

Cumberbatch was excellent as usual. no Hobbit.

Much.
As much as I enjoyed 2009, it admittedly had some giant stupid plot holes.
This film was tight...there was only a minor thing or two I had any quibbles with.

I agree, the storytelling was at another level, structure wise, i think. and we'd need a spoiler thread, but the fanboy in me is having trouble with only one part and i'm still trying to work through it...even typing that i want to give myself a wedgie...

lol...
...yeah...there were a couple of minor things that made me say..hmmm...but the writers deserve a big giant bonus...this was very very well written.
