Hannibal question

Spoilers?
Anyone think Will is starting to become suspicious of Hannibal? The looks they were giving each other when Hannibal was in the ambulance seemed kind of tense. And when Will took the wine afterwards to Hannibal at his house, well that was just awkward.
Thoughts?

I have no doubt the cat and mouse game began last week. Graham was thinking WTF when Hannibal did work on that guy in the amublance and compounded that interest when he told Graham he hadn't done surgery in years.
Then you have Hannibal telling him his passion with anatomy turned into food and boom you've got the beginning of the end for Hannibal. I think right now Graham will be for sure interested in Hannibal but I think the basis for tommorow's episode will be that Graham realizes the ripper is eating the victims.

When do we find out if it gets renewed? I am really liking this show, and the cat and mouse game is just starting

just a subtle change of expression on will's face, but i felt that they were both aware that it had happened.

Yeah that's my thinking as well. I'm really curious what's going to happen when Will figures out that it is Hannibal. If anyone has read the Red Dragon, Will discovers that Hannibal is the ripper in the exact same way Miriam did on the show.
And yeah NBC is crazy if they cancel this show. The first 3 or 4 episodes were sort of boring, but it was required to really understand what Will has to deal with. This show is going to be really suspenseful and thrilling from here on out. Also, I read something the other day that the writers are planning for Mason Verger to show up in season 2 if it makes it that far. That would be interesting

First thought...Everything about Will is awkward, so don't read too much into that.
Second thought: Will already knows, he fits the profile to a tee. He just needs to be able to prove it before he brings it to anyone's attention. Especially because Larry Fishburn is so infatuated with the Doc.

Its only getting 2-3 million viewers a week....so doesn't look good for renawal

In Red Dragon when Graham is visiting Hannibal he admits he knew something was off with him before he found the recipe book.

it'd be awesome if some other network or one of the premiums picked it up.

You think they'll follow the Red Dragon, or branch out and do their own version of events?

red dragon would be covered in season 4, if there is a season 4.

if nbc doesn't renew it, i really think this will happen...the show has a great deal of international backing, and is airing in many international markets...that fact is a big point in its favor, because nbc shares in the production costs with those other markets...i don't think fuller will just scrap it, regardless of what nbc does.

The movie version and the book version had two slightly different ways that Will discovered Lecter.
They might use the movie pattern, though, since the TV show is setting up that Lecter and Graham actually knew and worked together before he was caught.

I'd lose my shite if HBO or AMC grabbed it.

I thought they worked together in the book too?

the link to an interview with bryan fuller that i posted in this thread really gives a good insight into the differences between fuller's version and what harris' books entail...it also gives a basic idea of fuller's five season series outline.

I'll watch it when I get home.

there's no video, it's just the transcribed version.

It's been a while since I read the book but IIRC Graham went to see Lecter because one of the victims of a serial killer that was "posed" in some weird way was a former patient of Lecter's.
In Lecter's office, Graham started getting his vibes and happened to notice a drawing of some anatomical person and it clicked that it matched how the victim was posed.
At the time, Lecter was merely a very intelligent sociopath and didn't become the near omniscient mega genius that he was in later books/movies.
Mind you, this is all going off of my memory which may be inaccurate.
