KFizz, my advice is do to what I did after that: take some time and pick an area you want to live in and drive around looking for apartments. You'll get a feel for what the neighborhood is like and find options that aren't posted on CL or Realtor websites as they would have to rent the apt to the first person that submits the deposit. So by not posting it on the web or CL, they can pick and choose who to rent to. Using an agent made it easier, but I didn't get as much bang for the buck.

This is what I'd normally do, but I already know the areas that I want to live in like the back of my hand. Unfortunately the other half of that (driving around and such), while definitely a great course of action, I just don't have a heck of a lot of time at the moment to do so. Maybe once I get some things ironed out I can start doing that though. Appreciate the info.
