Why I think the Heat vs. Golden State/Memphis would produce good ratings

I think it would all really depend on how competitive Memphis or Golden State would be. I think if there is an appearance that either one of these teams had a chance that people would turn in and watch. The Cavs vs. Spurs finals in 2007 had terrible ratings even though it included the biggest superstar in the league and a traditional successful team playing. I think the possible story lines out of these possible series match up though have the chance to produce good ratings.
1. You have the Heat who people will most likely turn in to watch no matter who they are playing.
2. I think their is still so much anomosity towards the Heat and "the big 3" that a lot of people would hop on the bandwagon of whoever they are playing
3. I think the Grizzlies and Warriors are both very likable teams even to the casual fans.
4. Due to the 2-3-2 format people would get to experience watching two great fan bases going crazy. Imagine them doing that sound meter in GS during the Finals.
Personally I think the Spurs will win out against Golden State, but I think it is interesting to think how the ratings would turn out if one of these small market teams make it (even though GS doesn't seem like a small market).
I still don't think it has a chance in the world though to compare to last years, but it may have a chance.

Memphis may pose the biggest threat to Miami(though it's likely SA), but that series would be a bunch of ugly games IMO.

Memphis needs to just move to the East. They fit in perfectly with Chicago and Indiana.

Why do you care about the ratings? You don't work for a network or local TV station.

I care about entertainment value and I think the grizz vs heat can deliver that
