I didn't really get into Mad Men until about halfway through the 3rd season I think. So I can't really answer your question.
But I did want to ask how you are watching it now. Are you binging and watching like 3 episodes at a time, or watching one and letting it breathe a little before going on to the next one?
I feel like for me, it's one that should breathe. Just wondering how others have experienced it.

If I'm really enjoying a show, it's hard for me to wait a few days before watching the next one. 
But with the NBA playoffs on, I haen't been running through a ton at a time. Usually watch one when I get home after work before the games start every night, or watch one if a game turns into a blowout.
